  9. Richard Mandrachio is an illustrator specializing in science fiction and fantasy art, and has interests in 
  10. Gothic horror, architecture, the natural and ecological sciences, and mythology.  He works in graphite, 
  11. pen and ink, Prismacolor pencils, gouache, acrylics, and oils.  He has been a freelance illustrator since 
  12. 1980; some of his clients include AMAZING STORIES, The Oceanic Society, the National Park Service, 
  13. CROSSCURRENTS, Dance Montoya, and the Haight Ashbury Press.

  15. Richard has an impressive educational background.  He has a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts (Cum 
  16. Laude) from Queens College, New York, and has studied at the Academy of Sciences Art Program.  He is 
  17. a member of the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists (ASFA) and of the International 
  18. Airbrush Association. He is also a staff member of the Haight Ashbury Free Press.  He has interests in 
  19. dream interpretation, Jungian symbolism, transpersonal psychology, and ancient folklore.
